Former football stars in charity match

Two former soccer stars are included in the All Stars football match being held at the Whyteleafe FC ground on Sunday, September 17 to raise money for the Clockwork charity for tackling teenage suicide and depression and Oxted’s St Marys church.

Lingfield’s Ian Pearce, ex Blackburn Rovers, West Ham and Fulham and Caterham born, Hurst Green raised Nicky Forster who turned out for Gillingham, Brentford, Birmingham City, Reading, Ipswich Town, Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion,are in the squad of players who will kick off at Church Road at 2pm.

Other personalities from the world of footie who will be attending include Steve Kember, Steve Sidwell, Dave Swindlehurst, Jimmy Bullard, Neil Shipperley, Peter Garland, Glenn Cockerill, Micky Collins, Simon Osborn, Rob Quinn, Sagi Burton, Stuart Massey and Grant Watts.

Ten people aged 16 and over have the chance to play alongside these pros - a donation of £120 player is required and the price includes two free adults tickets for the match. For details email
