Rain fails to dampen spirits at Petts Wood festival

A CROWD of 2,000 braved the changeable weather to enjoy the best of the borough’s live music scene at the weekend.

Petts Wood memorial hall and gardens were once again the venue for Petts Woodstock, which took place on Saturday. Profits from the event raise funds for local good causes including Second Chance Animal Rescue, Petts Wood Playgroup, The Maypole Project and St Christopher’s Hospice.

“It didn’t rain all day - but the weather didn’t stop the party,” said organiser Jo Corteen. “It was a brilliant day - the sun shone a lot too! I was really happy with it - there was a fantastic atmosphere.”

Acts included Thin White Duke, a David Bowie tribute group, The Replicants and Slider Punk.
