By Kevin Black in Local People

Mum of two Jo Wells of Westerham is in training to run the London Marathon on April 23 for the Friends of the Valence School- the Kent County Council run facility is on the outskirts of the town.

Valence School is a KCC foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties from age four to 19. A staff team of over 250 people provides specialist teaching, social care, therapies and nursing care to an exceptionally high standard.

Jo commented: “Valence is a specialised school which provides education, care and wonderful experiences for children with physical disabilities and challenging medical needs. Being able to support this amazing school and charity is a way of providing these children with new equipment, independence, resources and experiences.”
